  1. Hi Guys, I was in Chiang Mai last weekend and stumbled upon a great little bar called "Wooden Bar" in the entertainment complex on Loi Khor, near the Thai Boxing Ring.

Talking to the new owners Roland and Ta, they told me they have just taken over The Wooden Bar - installing a 50“ screen, music system and are planning on expanding , another 50”screen and a kitchen. – more upgrading to come apparently.

Footie was great and the beers ice cold. Great place to shoot some pool and the other attractions were very nice !!

Anyone else been to The Wooden Bar lately? . Certainly revisit them next time I am in CM, hope to catch some TV members to shoot the breeze.

  2. As we have all read and seen on the TV there has been incidents involving "hiso" people ,some very tragic.

The initial reports are there for all to see but what happens after the incident, when / if they are convicted ....below are a few that I for one would love an update on:-

    1) Girl driving on express way allegedly involved in causing a van to crash

    2) Grandson of a tycoon allegedly killing a police office

    3) Actor shooting "friend"

    4) Son of a former beauty queen reckless driving

and the list could go on.....may be TV contributors could add to the list

Any update would be of interest .

  3. Hi There, Iam sorry but the Chinese garlic I have tried is pathetic, very little taste. Also they are a lot bigger than Thai garlic, this doesnt reflect on the taste AT ALL.

    Stick with Thai grown garlic.

  4. Lets do the math

TAT claim "The facility was designed with a capacity of 45 million passengers when it was opened in September 2006, a year late at that point. It now handles 51 million passengers a year as Thailand’s tourism industry booms"

If and its a big IF and average aircraft carries 250 people for thius exercise lets say a round 300 - that would mean @ 45 million there would be 401 planes arriving at Swampy a day .

Come on someone and it may be me ??? have got the figures wrong

  5. they were real policemen, one in uniform, with badges and guns.

why they didn't stop at the journalist's house to check his passport (foreigners are obliged to carry their pass at all time - or at least a cophy of it) is a little strange, probably they decided, that wallets/ring/mobiles would be an easier prise, than entering the house and leaving empty handed.

Anyone can buy a BIB uniform in BKK just getting the size right, there are many shops that openly sell Police uniforms and accessories
