I'd just ask "Do I get a receipt?" and then leg it when they catch on.

Surely every country out there will require a fresh original of the "sing paper" (as they say) from amphur? I doubt amphur take delivery orders from abroad?
Also, wouldn't her visa have needed a copy of the mentioned paper? Her visa should list her as married as a result.
If it doesn't, you have her by the short and curlies for lying on the application?
Edit: some weird proxy error resulted in double post. Sorry about that and please remove the dupes.

I give sometimes to those who are screwed no matter what. Like a guy with no hands, I just hope they get to keep some decent amount.

Only 50? He must have been feeling generous that day.

So you didn't even bother to check what you paid for and now you cry about it after the fact?

No-ones taking any notice on the Sukhumvit road - bars as per normal right now, I can't see anyone taking any notice !!
And yet someone recently posted that Soi 4 and Nana plaza are all closed.
I walked down soi cowboy at 7pm and all the bars were closed or closing, The Clubhouse had just shut, but The Crossbar was open, I had a couple of pints and walked back to phra ram 9 at 8.45pm, the roads were gridlocked and lots of people walking back.
Nana and most massage/girlyplaces(legit or not) just gave up and closed around 20:00. Walked around the area just to see what could be seen and it was an exodus of people just buggering off. Trying to cross the street was worse than ever.

I would be more concerned about leaving that expensive kit out in the middle of no where. It would be nicked as soon as the word got out about it's worth.

From stockholm the thai air price looks to have been static for months for the march flights. Still the same as when i booked in september.
The carriers with 1 or more stops seem desperate to compete and have the same price aprox 8000tbh lower.
Who knows how the pricing works.

A lady at a clean massage place told me her father tried to sell her for booze money to a bad place in canada. She was smart enough to know it would take her 10 years to pay back the proposed sum, not that she would ever see a bath of it. True or not it was a chilling story.

All I can say is you must be pretty scary to look at
Yeah that would be the fair conclusion
I'm in Phayao now and people smile back and the children thinks im a novelty. Blessedly anonymous.
Made me wonder if some farang axemurdered their family and they are now "skeptical" to our presence.

Hi
Has there been some sort of "farang event" in Lampang town? I have been driving around different towns that are barely mentioned on the internet and most places are welcoming or at the worst politely indifferent. I don't mess with them and they don't mess with me sort of deal.
In Lampang people looked daggers at me even before i reached town. From the south there is one of the green brand gas stations and they looked at me like i killed their dog. The manger lost his cool when i chose the wrong cup for the nescafe self service station. I wanted a smaller amount and no ice, still paid full price. He stalked me in the parking lot. I should have taken this a sign and driven on.
All the stores in town just gave dirty looks, the few bars open for a night cap just stared when i tried to enter. The place that had a sign in English and welcomed me charged bangkok prices for food and drink. Some lady had her ancle biter dogs chase me away from her store i wasn't even going to enter as i don't wear womens shoes.
Next morning i tried to get a legit/clean massage at a place with english signage, they just repeated "thai or oil?" until i left. "yes please" in 4-5 different ways in pidgin thai and english just didn't sink in. Clearly a way to ask me to leave.
Booked it out asap and on the gas station north of town they also gave me the i hope you die stare.
Same clothes, look, smell, shave, polite talk that works in the other regions. First time i have experienced this for real so to speak. Mai pen rai i guess.

I know it's a 125, im not expecting wonders from it. I leathermaned it and shook out some shit from the airfilter but i think just letting the bike cool down over night had more of an effect. Drove 230kms today in much cooler weather and it ran more or less like expected. So heat and paranoia might have been the problem after all.

Hello
I tried searching but came up empty so here goes. I'm renting a yamaha mio 125 gtx, the bike has been around the block a few times but has done 400km now pulling like a horse. Amongst other the Pai roads.
Now in Mae Sariang the bike is losing power up hill or when going faster than 60kmh. I have only used gas station gas and it's no different on low, med or full tank. I did some back and forth with the rental company and a local mechanic but their diagnosis is "high altitude" (or possibly fat farang on small bike).
Idle is fine but trying to push it more than crusing and there is a noticeable lack of power. Am i just paranoid (and to fat) or might there be something to be done?

Guys, i know they manage and have for centuries. It was hyperbole because i was frustrated. Try reading between the lines some time.
Driving with a largish back pack was survivable and Pai is lovely.

Yep, never use elastic bungie cords to secure something on a moto. I used the feel free branded ones bought at the kayak, outdoor supply shop across from the train station just a short distance off of Charoen Maung road. Proper quality ones sold for securing kayaks and available in rather long lengths.
I went to the location and they only said "no have" and so on. Went on down the street towards the moat and showed the pic to some bike/car/stuff stores and all of them just looke like "that looks like a useful thing to have" and shook their heads.
How can a country survive as a nation without being able to secure stuff without using tape, concrete or the lives of the neighbors children in the back of a pick up truck.

Hello
I have been trying to track down something so basic as a pair of nylon straps with metal clips.
None of the centrals or big c stores have them. Closest is those wide straps with plastic latches that break the first time you fly with them on your bag.
I have attached an image of the impossible to find item:

As a gentleman with the tiniest bladder i would be furiously happy if i could pee in every constables bottle.
Finding some place to pee legitematly without buying some trinkets can be a sport in town.

The Tesco store on the ringroad has an aeon atm, out of order often though for some reason. Close to the food course.

What i'd like to know is how the customers would know it was actually tiger or what not on the plate? Some dodgy dudes "promise" that it is infact so? Why not just sell them road kill and not take the risk as the presentation of the experience must be the selling point anyway?
What's the skill in riding a motorbike in Thailand?

Follow the flow of traffic. Drive slow and be constantly vigilant. The same as everywhere. Takes a while to get in to the rhythm but after that it's much easier.
