  2. I had Lymph System Cancer in June 2007, chemo 8 times, every 2 weeks, so far nothing came back.

In 2008 had stomach cancer (no connection to first Cancer), as i was scanned regulary after the first cancer, it was found early, operation and chemo afterwards.

I think without the first Chemo, would not be alive and could not enjoy rest of Life in LOS.

Have to go back for scanning every 6 Month and sure, if anything, will be found early.

  3. Their original escape plan included a Polish submarine but...well, you know how that one goes... :)

What a story. William Peter Alexander isn't really a Dutch name, neither the Polish guys' names. Something smells with the whole story, 90,000 Euros is about almost four million baht and they didn't go away.

    Sounds very gay. Okay?

Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands is sure a dutch name.

  4. Had the same Problem with same Garmin.

The Members here helped me in this Thread about a week ago.

Only needed 5 Minutes to change into Englisch.

    Please look at http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Garmin-Nvi-205-t352932.html

Just bought a Nuvi 205 today ( Wednesday) at Tesco North, Pattaya. Price on "promotion" flyer was 4,900 Baht. Later today saw it in Power Buy for the same price (so not much of a Promotion!!)

All paperwork in the box is in THAI ONLY. Downloaded the English language version manual from the Internet. That help me set the system to "United States" language (ie: English). For Quick Guide click here

Although the system language is set as "United States", but maps still in Thai only.

I see there is ESRI Software ver 10.1 on a CD in the box, with both English and Thai maps, but no instructions of how to set it to English, only an Excel file with instructions in Thai.

Looks like I will have to cut and paste the Thai instructions into Translate.google.com - That should be amusing to read :)

The Touch Screen in not accurate on my unit. I press "P" and "V" appears on the screen. May have to change the unit, but this usuful paragraph appears on an English .doc on the CD which says:

    6. After purchasing, user has responsibility to test the effective of GPS device. If user finds any defects, user will have the right for swapping new GPS device (the same series) within 7 (seven) days. Please be noted that every devices MUST be in the same condition and full set as if it is a brand new package from the factory.

  5. I used this in Europe, Cost about 80 Euro for the GPS tracking machine. U have to put a Sim Card (Prepaid) into the GPS- Tracker Use your Mobile, phone the prepaid Number and it will send back the actuell Coordinates, Speed of the Car back to your Mobile via SMS. I used one with Batteries, good for 48 Hours or longer, but there are Gps Trackers fixed to the Car-batterie avaible.

    Kind regards

  6. Go to Tools/Settings/Map/Map Info and see just what map(s) are installed and selected. It will give you the map details there. If only a Thai map is listed you need to delete it and/or overwrite the English map to memory. Did the CD come from a Garmin dealer so it is unlocked to your unit, S/N on the CD? I assume it is an ESRI Thailand map.

Yes it is the offical Esri Cd. There are 2 Thailand Maps installed. thai route base map 3.00 map infosays thailand streetmap v10 nt thai and another thailand streetmap v10nt thai - exits.

sorry i am not very good with computers. how and which should i overwrite.

thank you very much for help.

I don't hate Suvarnabhumi THAT much, but I'm still shocked that it made the list. Do you have a link to the rankings? Perhaps it explains the criteria.

  14. Thanks Simon, very good and accurate report. I fully share your statements. Although the Krabi population is predominant Muslim, I don't see it as a disadvantage. They are very moderate and there are no radicals like in the three Southern provinces.

However, you have to think about health care, which is insufficient in Krabi with the lack of major private hospitals. In a realy emergency an ambulance ride may take 2-3 hours or longer, if the ambulance located in Krabi is not stationed there due to another transport just before your emergency. For minor treatments local clinics are ok, many doctors speak english. But the Krabi public hospital urgently needs an upgrade, although I admit, they did a great job after the tsunami when about 2000 injured were delivered within 24 hours.

Ao Nang now have their own ambulance car of the Phuket International Hospital. In addition to this, there is now another car of the "Bangkok Phuket Hospital, but is stationed in Krabi town.

The new ambulance is usually at the office of the SSS pressure chamber in Ao Nang, with whom one shared by the office together. Telephone you can reach the ambulance under the number: 081 270 8,001th The other ambulances in Krabi town is still under the number 1719 to reach.

Both hospitals are, as the name suggests, on the island of Phuket and perfectly meet European standards, if not better. The ambulances are designed to bring patients in an emergency to better treatment in the hospitals after Phuket.
