Anybody think this will effect my swampi international flight out of Thailand tomorrow morning?
No, but you might find your seat taken by a Shinawatra or two..

Whatever did Thaksin see in this man ? Yes - he's a heavy - but can he think ?
He's not paid to think...just to carry out His Master's Orders

Yingluck is far and away the cleanest, least corrupt PM this nation has ever seen.
Do you fancy her?

Here's a link to the Nottingham Uni PGCEi in October 2014:

And regarding those monthly rates, is that before or after taxes?
Before tax.
-
But I'm sure an uphill struggle,
Certainly not a straightforward application, best thing in her favour is that she left the UK voluntarily.
She needs to polish her arguments explaining the circumstances of the overstay fully and being truthful.

They ought to really stamp down on this sort of behaviour.

"Once on board the train, Yingluck talked about the current political situation, saying she agreed that political reform needed to be done.
"Please tell me how it should be done."You are part of the problem, dear lady. Please go and join your brother in Dubai.

^ Oops, don't tell anyone.

^ Most of the poor ones are non-Arabs, who would have to apply in their own countries of origin.
-
"Does this mean that there will be soon be different classes of visa applicant ?"
Presumably yes, those from rich, 'safe' (ie safe to assume that applicants from these countries won't overstay, claim benefits or asylum) countries, such as the Gulf States, who can be trusted to enter the country for free and those from poorer, 'high-risk' countries who can't.

What Thailand needs now is an honest person to take the lead.
Where are you, oh honest person?

^ Do try to read all the post, not just the word 'dictatorship', dear boy.

"Protesters' push for "perfect democracy" is actually pulling the country back to bad old days of dictatorship"
The problem is, dear Nation, that the country is, effectively, already an elective dictatorship under Thaksin and his family plus selected cronies. A new election by itself will not, of course, solve this.

Can Pheua Thai 'get over' the Shinawats? It seems not.
Yes, that would be more like true democracy, a major party 'of the people' not intimately connected with and serving the interests of our self-exiled multi-millionaire friend with the square face.
-
someone with a shred of credibility
That's the quality that is sadly missing in Thai politics..
-
And here's the thing
She won the no confidence vote.
That was hardly a surprise as her party with its coalition friends commanded a majority
-
many Thais I know vote PTP but also do not want Thaksin back
Then they need to think who it is who they are really voting for. And it's not the fragrant Yingluck.
-
posters who oppose democracy here, but not in their own country, are hypocrites
It's the bowdlerised Thai version of democracy, more like an elected dictatorship of one rich family. Heavily flawed. Why is it hypocritical to point that out?

yea enjoy kicking her
Thailand's first female premier broke the mold and I think she deserves credit
She broke the mould - by being Thaksin's sister. Does she deserve credit for that? Don't kid yourself that it was anything that she did by herself.

Urgent meeting for ruling Pheu Thai members today
Let's see what's on the agenda...
1. How do we buy more votes
2. How can we create more corruptiion and white lying populist policies
3. How can we avoid the laws
4. How can we create new ways to brainwash the poor freeloaders into vote buying
5. Which one of the banned politicians do we put in charge of key positions
6. How can we drench our hands and put through the megaprojects with the objective to drain out money for ourselves
7. How can we punish critical thinking and freedom of expression and itensify RED Anarchy brainwashing propaganda?
8. How can we get Thaksin back to give us even more money?

"Prime Minister Yingluck gave assurances to the US that her government adheres to using peaceful means to resolve the problem through democratic means and is willing to hold talks with all parties to find a solution."
She's just suspended talks, hasn't she? Assurance didn't last very long..

which one is Noppadon on these pictures?
He's the trumpet, of course

They've just suspended that. No point referring to it now.
