I just got one yesterday at Phuket main immi office. Very efficient, computer typed with my picture and gov't stamp. Took about 5 mins, 300 baht. Now off to driver license office for 5-yr renewal, very different story there re waits and efficiency.

Interesting, I did mine there 2 weeks ago for motorbike and car license they asked 600 baht and I told them its for free, lady said I'll ask my boss and 10 minutes later I got my 2 residence certificates handed to me for free.

  2. Anyone can recommend me a roofing specialist.

I'm living in Phuket Golden Ville 3 and have leaks from the roof since I moved in. Looks like all the previous guys just did a temporary job.

    Thanks in advance.

  3. OP sent me a PM, but I would like to put it here for others to comment on. He wanted to know how long it takes from central Bangkok to Hua Hin.

I think that to a certain degree depends on the time of day. Obviously around rush hour will be a bit longer. I haven't done this trip in a long time. And I believe a new road has been built?

    Can others help here?

I've done it several times and it takes me 2 hours the most.

  4. Just a update for your guys as I went to Singapore this week for a new Non Imm O (married) visa.

Although by email correspondence the Royal Thai Embassy wrote me that I would not get more then 3 months as I was not Singaporian I decided to try it anyway as I prefer staying in Singapore above KL where I did it the last 3 years.

I had all the required paperwork as posted on their website.

Extra paperwork I brought with me was a signed copy of my passport (not required) signed copy of my wifes tambien baan (not required but she took it anyway)

The Singaporian lady check all paperwork before you hit the counter (what only speeds up the whole process as there are still people without the correct documents).

The whole process tooks me less then 30 minutes and the next day collection was about 5 minutes. On both days I have not seen more then 20 people the time I was there. So very convinient compaired to KL.

  5. " Mr Chuvit then performed a cursing rite as he scraped the road leading to Parliament with a spelled dagger as a sign forbidding corrupt politicians from entering Parliament and cursing them to an eternal abyss, but he wished good politicians happiness and prosperity. "

Must be a lonely afair for him in parliament if the corrupt ones can not enter.:whistling:
