  1. Uptheos - That is the problem, i'm afraid without Champions League to lure them it's not going to happen. So you have to buy young, which means they are not yet world class, and give the manager time, something Dear Daniel appears to be unable to do.

  2. Finally!

Tottenham: Lloris, Naughton, Fazio, Kaboul ©, Rose; Capoue, Mason; Chadli, Eriksen, Townsend; Kane

Still think 2 strikers should have been the option at home but you can't have everything whistling.gif

    Back 4 is a worry

  3. Hello,

Been reading up on the process to marry here in Thailand to my Thai girlfriend.

Just one query really about the Affirmation to Marry Doc:

As i am in Chiang Mai and going to use the UK Consulate here, does it matter that all copies that i can find to copy and amend with our details for the Affirmation to Marry document contain the Uk Embassy's address in Bangkok?

    Thanks

  4. Been a while since i posted on here, been away from Thailand too long but now i'm back.

Just in the nick of time by the looks of it, anyone fancy talking about the football? whistling.gif

Finding this another very frustrating season (again), back four is pretty rubbish, don't understand Kaboul being captain, he's looked a liability for ages, Dier is not a full back, Rose is better going forward (like most of our full backs) and whoever partners Kaboul is on a hiding to nothing.

Hope Kane gets the start tonight, don't know what he needs to do to get the nod in the Premier League.

Midfield is....meh, just seems no urgency with the ball, like the high press without it but then it just slows down too much. Lack of width.

I know it's a new manager/system but the age it took for Poch to change things up against Newcastle was alarming.

    Thank god Villa are crap.

Thoughts? Mine is mostly concern!! COYS w00t.gif

  5. Automatic weapons with extended magazines should be a birth right and handed to citizens as soon as they pop out of the baby maker. Heavier weapons such as 50 caliber machine guns and hand grenades should also be permanent additions in every house. Tanks should be made available to everyone and each neighborhood should have an Apache gunship stationed nearby ready for use.

We all know that if there is a cloud of poison gas in the air killing people, the correct response is to add more poison gas in order to equalize and negate the threat. Yes, more guns, that must be the answer.

Finally someone who understand that one fights fire with (bigger) fire. It's what the US has been doing around the world for the past 60 years with great success.

I think you meant to end that sentence with; without any great success....

  6. Liverpool same day actualy 10 minutes. Turn up in person. All but tourist visas are done through London

If i could i would but i'm working 6 nights a week at the moment, with my only day (night) off being Sundays right up until i fly out. I don't live anywhere near the Embassy or Consulates.

So can you confirm that i could still go through Hull? Sure i read that Hull were only sending them on to London thereby increasing the turnaround time?

  7. Hello,

Just wondering if anyone has recent experience of obtaining a Triple Entry Tourist Visa from London? Specifically looking from a turnaround time perspective.

Previously i have used Hull and they used to be really quick, within 5 days. but i believe applications now should go to London.

My flight is booked for 14th October so i'm wanting to get the visa as late as possible to maximize the number of days in Thailand.

I did email the Thai Embassy but no reply received as yet, which is making me slightly nervous. rolleyes.gif

    Thanks

  8. If we believe everything we read in Thai papers they will paint a very nasty picture .

Buggery by a farang on another male , rape and murder on both.

    Highlight of western values.

Xenophobic blame for the whole thing.

Equally , and as sad western shock jocks are asking Muslims be rounded up who have scratches on their face or neck , who reside or work on this Island.

Their warped rationale is" motive"( was anti -westen hatred over war on ISIS )

I think its best to let due process occur and ignore Thai or tabloid press.

If this westerner is guilty the truth will come out.

I hate to say this and it sounds just as bad as their audacious comments (Blaming Burmese etc)

Its more likely a westerner ""DID NOT'' do this …than did.

The weapon seems far less likely to be used by a westerner .

And the viciousness of the attack suggests a serious mental disorder /hatred.

Its possible a westerner could do this - just unlikely in this setting.

    I hope i don't eat humble pie.

The motive for Christopher to kill David was that it was his boyfriend,& when he stumbled along the beach from the party drunk looking for David at 4am,heavily intoxicated from the beach party of 50 holiday makers,he found him having sex behind a rock with Hannah. In a fit of rage he looked for a weapon to stop them, there was a garden bungalow resort 30 meters away where I presume he found the hoe.he returned, smashed David first, while attacking him,Hannah grabbed his head to stop,at which point Christopher spun around smashing Hannah in the face in the darkness, knocking her down. He then had intercourse with his dead boyfriend, then returned to Hannah did the same thing. This is what, Koh Tao Thai residents are saying they believe to what actually happened& this story reached me from a French yacht captain arriving back on Koh Phangan an hour ago. DNA will be the key element to this investigation&rightful arrest at the end of the day.Sad tragedy, and lots of racial prejudice thrown around by people of different interests has been extra testing for locals, foreign residents & visitors alike.i hope soon the couple can rest in peace,& the true murderer arrested&the parents of the deceased can know what really happened& know the authorities arrested&tried the person who killed their lovely children.Peace out.

French Yacht Captain...via island gossip/hearsay/utter twaddle....i'm surprised Reuters haven't been in touch. Jesus wept.

  9. I think chiang Mai drivers are probably some of the best in the world. They need higher skills, patients and awareness to deal with the conditions.

Oh yeah right. At least you are looking at the bright side of life. I see danger, and parents losing young kids, kids losing parents, hospitals full of accident victims, and folks that generally don't have any sense of danger whatsoever. The road is no laughing matter, nor is it a game.

It all looks so romantic and exotic as a tourist, but live here awhile and you may just see the forest from the trees...

Here's an example of CM's finest, and the driving instructor was in the car too.... (Happened today) http://www.chiangmaicitynews.com/news.php?id=4213

I have seen two cars being fished out of the moat since I've been here. It's quite amazing when you consider that most of the time the traffic is restricted in speed due to congestion, and the curbing all around the moat is quite high off the road surface, and squared off sharply at the top. To jump that curb you would have to hit it at a sharp angle, or else go right at it.

    How do they do it?

  10. Went to tops today and it reminded me of an old TV series Happy Days.

In it a hip slicking cool guy (Henry Winkler) the Fonz was telling Ritchie (Ron Howard) a really good place to meet chicks is the super market.

You might want to work on your hello I am a nice guy interested only in meeting normal (a setting on a washing machine) Thai women.

Try a couple of variations on that in front of a mirror. I have faith in you. Remember if at first you don't succeed try try again there will be another bus along be there to meet it when it comes in.

I remember that episode. Man, I loved that show....came on just after Gilligans Island. Ginger was hot.

    ...anyway...

One of my favorite places to meet girls was the make-up counters at malls. It was easy to approach feigning interest in perfume or a gift for my Mom and then strike up conversation and ask for a number. It was a target rich environment and I was batting high numbers. It felt somewhat legit.

But then I started noticing more and more ladyboys working at make-up counters and it kind of lost it's appeal.

Similar results can be had in the underwear and bra sections. However, the shoe, kitchenware and whitegoods sections should be avoided at all costs.

I hope you weren't telling the ladies in the underwear and bra sections the items were for your Mom w00t.gif
