I have been waiting for a small package from the U.S. sent standard air return reciept. I also insured it. The box was mailed on the 23 of Feb. and checked on by a friend after one month who got the run around. Finally someone told her the package had indeed left the country on the 10 of Mar.----&lt;deleted&gt; 16 days to get started? Has anyone had a 3 kg. package take this long? The P.O. says they cannot track it after it leaves the U.S.---??? Dosent it get logged at every stop?

I'm leaving Thailand in a month or so and have a connecting flight in SIA. I am thinking about staying there for a couple of weeks. Any suggestions on were to stay. The cheepest hotels I have seen so far are around $35 US. Are there 2 or 3 nightlife areas? How bad Is crime? Are the ladies after your wallet?---(Dumb question) I should have done more reasearch befor I left. -----Marshy

Is there a 60 day Tour. Visa available?

I got my mutiple non O on July 28/04 (to early) the stamp utilized by date is July 27/05 which as I understand will give me a stay till approx. Oct 25 provided I make a trip out of the Kingdom just befor the July 27 date. My flight out (home) is at the end of December----Can I get a 60 day tourist visa/extention from Imm. in Oct. to carry me untill my flight date? Or would I be better advised to reapply for a new Non O in my own Country (pay another $125). If so is the first one automatically void.

Lopburi3---- Thanks for the reply, one more question---I was told by the consulate that the O mutiple was good for 1 yr + 3 mo. from the date of entry into Thailand not the date the consulate stamped the passport They indicated that it mearly must be used by July 27 2005, are they mistaken?

Doc---I was issued a mutiple entry O a while back. The use by date on the stamp is july 2005. The reason I gave for the O on the visa application is for a lenthly tour of the kingdom and some dental work. I am not over 50 nor married. The way it sounds 300,000bt which would be in the form of American express travlers checks is not sufficent for mutiple entries??? Diddent plan on putting the money in a thai bank eather. If I have 300,000 can I just do a border crossing every 90 days? Where does Imm. make that determination---Airport? Can anyone please advise?----Is it 400,000 and married?

I recently triied several times over a 48 hr period to call Majestic Suites in BKK and am not able to get through----the recording says all international lines for the country your calling are busy. My long distance carrier is IDT. AT&T is way to expensive. I also sent them (Majestic suites) an E-mail but got no reply. Does anyone know of a fairly inexpensive / reliable way to call Thailand from the US. Suggestions appreciated.

Once a month I get to the neighboring town and for lunch I have a coke, fries, and a small burger/cheese at Mc or Wendys Is the food in thai different---green fries, mad cows---seems to be spelled different to.

Hi all---Time here is winding down and I am starting the planning thing. After seeing some of Bangkok the plan is to travel south to the coast. Possably Pattaya for a few days (check out dave's bar). After that I would like to find other areas on the coast that welcome travelers.

I have searched but couldn't find a decent map of the coast. The one I have has on it---Trat, Rayong, Sattahip, Samut, Ko Samui, Chon Buri, Hua Hin, Chan Am, and Prachuap. Any recomendations or (non advisories) for beach towns/resorts?

Thanks for the info---SIA was fliing from LAX---I printed the the fare a month ago and have it in front of me from/@ just fares.com but now the flights appear to be unavailable even on the same dates?? Most of the comments I read on another forum were a year or so old but also suggested SIA/SIN---- found it a few minutes ago.

Are the 747-400's & 300's the newer 4 engine aircraft or are all trans Pacific crossings multi engine? The 100's & 200's sound like older models?? Ninteen HRS in the air is realllly gonna stink!!
