I've used TW and recommended them on here, but this month's(on the 1st of July) transfer into my Bangkok Bank was interbank via SMART and not the usual ITT.
I emailed them and got a curt reply, basically this is their system and tough luck, but she did say she hopes I get my visa.
I do know how they work, doubled checked my PDF receipts and this month is showing K Bank(on page 2)as their Banking partner and not Bangkok Bank as all the previous transactions.
So I may have to change to K Bank, but I've no idea if this month's bimp will screw my visa ?.
Worryingly, TW are stilling showing it as pending, but I've already moved it from my BBL account and said their having problems with transferring, that's an understatement !

This is from my UK Bank to my Bangkok Bank account each month via Transferwise and as you can see, it clearly states International transfer.Either TransferWise or DeeMoney is useless in certain situations. One does not do business in Thailand. Also Ubon Joe mentioned something about only needing to show a few months of deposits to qualify for an extension of stay. This is something that I can't seem to locate in all of the posts that I have printed out. Also, there's the issue someone mentioned of being "stuck" with the visa services if you use one this year. A "sticky" with this information all in one place would be most helpful. I am fighting to stay here, but I can't break my budget. Beginning next year, I would want to have all my income in Bangkok Bank every month or at least the 65 thousand baht required. Can someone post such a "sticky" to have this info in one place? I have a stack of print-outs that are just frustrating to sift through. Thanks to those who responded in a civil manner.
Hope this helps

I live there 50/50 (or more now)and find it quite nice. Yes, it can get very hot in March/April, but the mountains and all the rivers/Dam etc nearby are lovely to see.
Lots of interesting places to visit nearby, some good restaurants around, plus the usual local fare.
Immigration are fine, if your not sure just ask them and the Burmese border is about a hour away and easy to renew your 90 days, if required.
You can get most farang food, there's Big C, a large Tescos, Makro and a Robertson's Mall with a Tops inside. If you like fast food, there's a McDonald's, 3 KFCS, Pizzas etc, a fish and chip shop and even Sunday roast (if your British [emoji18]).
A choice of watering holes for different tastes with a few sports bars as well as the usual little Pattaya bars, accommodation is quite cheap. Some Gyms with a pool to work off all that food etc [emoji4].
The locals are friendly, very few problems with anyone and the Police are fine, don't see them much. As you would expect it's more laid-back than other cities, but that's the attraction. No need for car really, a scooter is fine. I would try the area for a month or so, this will also give you chance to look for a suitable long term rental. Good luck

One more bar on the strip (farang road), opposite the smallish Tesco. Usually have roast pork/ Lamb and the usual veggies. From 4pm on a Sunday

Any update?, I'm running 3BB and have their D-link router and I think something is throttling my international connections. Cheers

I've used the Halifax and it took 3 working days for the first transfer, then usually 2, after that. But I now use Transferwise, cheaper(up to a certain amount), faster and you get the XE Currency's mid market rate and no fee to receive monies from aboard from your Thai Bank. First time 2 days and next day since then.

I've just used Transferwise for the first time, based on commets on here. Worked very well and took less than a day, got about 1,000b more compared to the usual method (UK Bank fee, then 500b receiving fee here). I have used Bangkok Bank in London before, what is the problem with them now?. I've set up 2 widows pension's to Thailand with them and will that cause any problems?. Thanks

Tons of the stuff!
Thanx, Maz, for posting that tube of Solvol the other week.
Your welcome,
I actually thought over 3, 1 for you, 1 for me and a spare. [emoji5]

Yeah, seems about the going rate. A 250 too. Canadian import or had a top end change.
UK prices;
Scruffy half decent runner £750.
Good runner, tidy, ready to compete on £1000-1300.
Rebuilt, with tank/seat shelter, nice bits and mods on it £1500-1700.
Trick modded ones, great looker, disc brakes all round, late rear wheel rim for tubeless tyre £2k.
It's why i can't see me selling a 3rd one i build up for spares or repairs for say 13-15k TB, or actually spending money on rebuilding a nice one for 50-60k.
To me the spares are worth more than 13k, but nobody would want to pay more than that for a non running basket case, and nobody is going to pay me for my time selling a rebuilt nice one for 60k, after i've spent nearly that finishing one...
I might ! ;-)

I've used Hotspot Shield for years, $20 a year and I use mostly for the UK, but they have about 12 different Counties to beam to Scotty and offer a free 7 day trial(but for the USA only). Good product and customer service(if needed)

Hope you stopped for a cuppa?. ;-)

Interesting to see that the old Tiger 100 is about the same weight as a CB500X and the Enfield Himalayan, and 20kg more than the 300X.
Funny you say that, I've got both here. A 1970 T100c and a Honda CB500X and the Honda only has about 12HP more than the Triumph. Totally different rides and I wouldnt sell the Triumph. [emoji5] -
Yet my Trialmax came wrapped in Honda tape and with a Honda part number, sorry it didn't work out. T.I.T unfortunately

Just take your bike, there's a service charge, so why not let them change the wheels

Very good point, I have a K Bank account already and will send myself a small amount to test the codes and email TW to confirm if the change is permanent or not, but she did say at TW, this is the ongoing system
