Am keen to put money in one of them in this buyers market situation and was wondering, I need the paper from bank that money to used to purchase the condo need to come on my local account in Thailand from abroad before can have the ownership title in my own name. My money is still hold on flat am living now in EU, need it until ready to move. I have a change to borrow this money from friend in Thailand, is there any way to avoid hassle to send amount to abroad and send it back to my account in Thai bank ?  We are talking about 3,5 million thb.

Any advice, legal ones , please.

I got mine few years back while it was floating on CM and a LOT of mossies came down with the river from mountains -

I felt like just having nasty flu, it was also that when diagnostics came out but Dengue as well.

In mornings was like any other day, after midday high fever rise up fast

I kept it about one week and was even working couple of days back home

until was sure its not normal flu

They rushed me to big hospital, testing 8 hours and by ambulance on that night to special hospital in guarantet room

for stay in for one week.

Testing/sucking my blood 3 times a day, with iv running and me running to toilet 'coz of it

finally could not walk or touch anything without pain

blood in my fingers and toes start to bleed inside

they told me straight cannot do anything just monitoring me

but I was lucky - it stops itself and reliesed to home for one week sickleave note in hand

but, that was not the end of it

as they mention to me in hospital

it could effect my mood next few months, as it did

I felt pointless, powerless and mindless almost 3 months

about getting it again

I was told should not travel affected area in next 6 monhs or it could be fatale

if getting it again

I got it last year in September from Chiang Mai

it was my 4 weeks tour around Thailand and had not met any rainy day - so far.

No mosquitos anywhere and sunshine.

The river in CM city started to fill with water they got fall down on near by mountain area

they had to even open the gates of local dam and river break it in dupple and goverment boys as well as BB

was bringing sandbags all over the river side, finally it did not made so much damaged.

But what we got was airfull of mossies !

And they was hungry of my sweet blood.

I went back to Krung Thep and headed to island of Koh Samui, got nasty flu.

Bought some acetylsalicylic acid what is common used for pain - should not - its famous for making blood

to run more easier and that is bad news for you if happens to be the hemorrhagic fever !

Back to Big Mango and flu continue as well got fever.

Flying back home to Finland and even got myself to work 3 days before it was too much.

In morning just feels powerness and fever start growing after midday.

Pain behind my eyes, pain if too bright lights, pain inside my bones - somelike nasty influensa.

Finally got to see my doctor and he rushed me to general hospital, malaria or dengue stood on papers !

Fever was almost 40 on Celsius and stayed and I was waiting results of test and x-rays, finally they

agree to given me some pain killers, helped a bit.

Ambulance - first time in my life - ride to special hospital ward for tropical disease.

Got small pink rash all over, bleeding cums and from nose, blood fluids bleeding inside my skin

on finger tips and feet, they swallen and could not walk without pain. Diarrhea, womiting, could not bear the snorrling of the guy next bed

Actually no medicin, for pain yes, had to drink a lot, about 3 to 4 litres on my waking hours,

stayed in hospital 6 days before dischart and one more week home to rest.

My nose was bleeding next 2 month and felt like am powerless to even wake up from bed, finally noticed

also symptoms of depression which can come after, Oh My Buddha !

Got travel instruction too - no near where could got it again in next 6 months.

So had been in my home country and waiting this long dark cold winter without any chance

to fly to Asia for winter holiday - now had tickets and here am going again, June.

Yeah, very helpfull ideas, it seems that there is not anything to do then in that airport, same same crap

The point is that am early bird on airport in Istanbul heading to Krung Thep - well am sure there is a lot of us - but walking around six and half hours in airport is not my kind of favored waste of time

So is there any one who has been useing his/hers time and founded maybe something how to spend that time on premises.

it was last year as my friend ask me to helped him avoid the army - he is tall and in good health and was sure they will pick him up - no red/black balls was used in 'ceremony' , officials had the amount they need to fill for that year to send to service from that area and they was short of boys - so need to hand over - well under - 27 000 THB and problem was solved. My opinion was opposite, it would made good for that guy to take the 2 years in service, he is soooo lazy

years and years ago 1984 or so in western calendar time, my friend ask me to send him 20 000 THB to do the same, not sure if that included some pocket money for him too but it has been well priced a long time ....

Well dear, have to say, people here try to help you a lot already but you not happy on anything. You say need to find something what you cannot do as 'everyday' on your holiday, hmmm with money to spend is only as from 500 to 5 000 THB you cannot expect too divine evening.

Am personally going to have my fifties on April in The Island and had ask 40 people to party from my country, will have private Villa for it with food and drinks, some local band and dancers, fireworks on sky and finally night out. Its not about the show its about the time to share with your friends and enjoy when they have come so far just to take part of evening.

Am sure your mother does not expected to have wild night out, just time to spend with her son and friend, that is something what you cannot buy with money, believe me. And the dinner out on Chaweng beach restaurant is nice so many ways and the food is also great and fresh, well if you can eat seafood. Good and interesting life is made of small things, you do not need to break the bank everyday to feel that you are alive, you will learn it later but your Mom knows it already. Had been wondering and seeking around these pages but not found any topics about Serviced Apartments. I would like to given a try. Had been checking some and The Ascott Sathorn Bangkok got my eye on it. Good location and suberb accommondation and facilities.

Have anyone any memories of these places or generally about living in these residencies.

Are they really like 'your' home, meaning if you would like to have dinner party or friend

coming to visit and stay couple of nights, can you play as it is your home or do you need to pay

extra ( like some sheetmoney ) .

Been ridden this 'column' and thinking my own status in our - mine and thai husband - relationship, actually we are married in face of law, of scandinavian, registrated relationship as they call it. Every couple has it own path, we have had it allready two and half years, inc. married 18 month.

I have been in Thailand, BKK, with him ; first two weeks, then one month and finaly one year. Learning, hope so, and he too about us. Now at the moment in very bad mak mak panic. He is coming next week to my country - well he has been here once to see me and family - but this time its more like staying for good !? After passport control we will go to see immigration office to apply permanent visa to stay and work.

I been 'hustler' around my whole life, never took money though, but there's more than 2000 'happy' memories around Europe to connect with me, some few hundreds with not so nice memories .... I was like go-go boy, more or less, always doing what I wanted and whom I wanted - ok rich bitch !!! But without any extra money, only what I get from my salary.

Tryed to love some boys/men in my life, cannot really engage with any and just move to next interest enough one when get bored.

Now in my middle age - or am I - got something very strange in my path - feel so strange and sometimes powerless and vice versa. Is this my menopause or am I getting sick some way ?

This was what my bf send me after talking about us getting married in Thai ceremony (groom+groom)

U can imaging what was my answer, because both men and after ceremony there is no legal document handled to us for to use as getting for example visa to stay because of married Thai.

Now we are planning to get real ceremony in Finland, where two same sex person can do it legaly and maybe small ceremony in Buddhist Temple in here or in Thailand when I will return next time.

But back to the question I red in first post; how much or not you support your bf/gf.

My bf is working at the moment in Beauty Salon as stylist and we are planning to open one for us soon. He does need some sissors and stuff for his job (they have to have equipments of them own) and of course the rent + electricity+water+travel+every 3 month trip to Isaan to his family.

So he get money from his work and I send 10 000 BHT per month. In the beginning I send more but now after he finnished his private school of hair cut and start to earn own money from work I dropped my share. We have to remember that we have both cellphones and we are useing them everyday - you can calcurate how much we are using to it and of course that is part of the money I send.

Am I paying him or supporting - neither if you ask me - I think we are family and if you are part of family you take care of it, don't you ?

About the money he has ask for family in first months or asking some stuff that I could buy to him - I have explain where the money coming from and how hard it is for me too and he has drop supporting his family - actually they did not like it but my bf said its ok, he has try to help them so long time but cannot see any 'upgrades' as he pointed.

He is now coming to see my family in Finland this autumn and I will get myself to him the end of this year for one year to spend together and given us time to see are we really into eachother that I should move to Thailand and start to work in there. Also my first year will inc. learning Thai + learning understand Buddhism + doing some voluntary work to get into the society and get known more of that beautiful country and culture. After that one year I am coming back to Finland where I still have my job+home waiting and then it will be time to deside what we really want from future .....
