webfact Posted September 4, 2017 Share Posted September 4, 2017 Party night ends in fatal road crash in Phitsanulok Around Thailand PHITSANULOK: -- One man was killed and two other men injured when their pickup truck crashed into a power pole on a roadside in Phitsanulok’s Muang district early Monday morning. The accident happened at about 2.20 am on Phichai Songkram Road. Captain Noppol Mai-ngam, an officer on duty at Muang Phisanulok Police Station, said the driver of the vehicle, Natthasit Junyu, 22, was killed behind the wheel. Noppol said Natthasit lost control of the pickup on a curve. Natthasit’s body was trapped inside the pickup along with an injured passenger. Another injured passenger was taken to hospital while rescuers cut free Natthasit’s body and the passenger from the pickup. It rescue operation concluded at about 3.25am. Friends of the men arrived at the accident scene during the rescue. They told police that three men drank with them at a pub about one kilometre from the accident. After the pub closed at 2am, they went to an all-night restaurant. The friends said when the three men did not show up at the restaurant and did not answer their phones, they went looking for them and found the accident scene.
