patient
i want to buy exchange some cash for bank cheques (for monks to use rather than carrying cash). Each bank has different costs/commissions. does anyone know the best value bank for this type of product/service? the amounts are small say 1000 to 3000 baht. but there may be quite a few cheques to purchase now and in the future. while the cost is minimal (10-30 baht) there is still a wide variation between banks. is there a website that compares such products? Or does someone have personal knowledge of this? thanks in advance Edited August 13, 2018 by patient additional info
allane
Ask for a Cashier's Cheque. I believe I have paid B 20 for these. If you do not get them "crossed", they are negotiable (can be used as if they are cash.)

KKr
Seems complicated to me. Why not simply donate a large sum every now and then to the local Temple's bank account. Then you would not be carrying sums of cash that you are not comfortable with?
