Becker
I want to watch the Ryder Cup but don't have the required sat channels for it. What would be the easiest/cheapest way of doing it online?
gkroo
You could try the following link to watch the "Golf Channel" https://www.firstonetv.net/Live/United-States-(USA)/Golf-Channel-

gkroo
Just for your kind info the "Golf Channel" has been having several problems with their link over the past 2 days, including this morning. With my android box I have about 5 different options of accessing this channel and all are having problems getting a secure connection without freezing after about 60 seconds, hopefully it will get back to normal soon ??? 1

Becker
I've decided to go with the Sky Sports one week pass for about 13 Pounds through Now TV. Hopefully I'll be OK with my 3BB 100/30 package here in Pattaya. Have to use a VPN with a Brit server though. Wonder if Golf Channel/NBC is doing the same? PS. Is there any way to fool VPN detection tools?

Strange. I just tried using Firstone TV again and now it's running better than the first time I tried it but with the occasional long buffering brake. I guess it's the best I will get. And, with some channels on this website, they appear to request two stages of activation to become enabled. Unfortunately, flash player gets turned off after the first stage so it becomes impossible to watch. I was trying to watch the MUTV channel. I also tried using EDGE to watch it but https://www.firstonetv.net appears to recognize the browser and puts up a message saying they won't allow that browser to be used. I've never needed a VPN to watch firstone in the past but did try it with a VPN. made no difference. Edited September 26, 2018 by sumrit

james.d
Just been enjoying the Golf channel via firstonetv and certainly watchable. A slight lag on occasion for a few seconds only at times. Thank you to the TV member who posted that. The stands and player walk-out layout for the first tee looks phenomenal with 7,000 seats. BTW - Just was watching an interview, and didn't at first recognize Justin Rose without a cap.

Perfect picture, no buffering. I'm on True Fiber 100/30. Less than 2 hrs to go.....

Nope, the "Now TV"website you have to go through detected my VPN and wouldn't allow me to buy the package but I am happily watching Ryder Cup for free on "https://www.firstonetv.net/Live/United-States-(USA)/Golf-Channel-44" with few disruptions. Thanks to "gkroo" for the tip! Edited September 29, 2018 by Becker

Because the website can detect the VPN you're using so assumes you're not in the UK and they don't have broadcast rights outside of the UK. gkroo
For some UK channels you can click on "countries" the top left hand side of firstonetv & you will find a multitude of countries & TV stations, if it prevents you from any station then become a member for free and then sign in to access these.
