Hi, all!

I just received information from my university that there is new regulation in Chaeng Wattana in order for international students to extend their visa in which they are required to show the contract for their accommodation.

I arrived here in January and has been living with a roommate whose been living in that apartment for 2 years and he said that there was no contract when he first arrived there. What do I need to do in this situation? is it okay if I only show a receipt for deposit and down payment?

Even if he has the contract, it would be under his name and how do I supplement this?

Moreover, my visa itself will be expired in April 2nd and I will be moving there in April 1st. But, due to my school schedule, I don't want to take a risk to extend my visa on that April 2nd. Therefore, is it possible if I ask the contract in advance and show the immigration officer that I will be moving there per April 1st? I plan to go to immigration office next week.

Your answer will be appreciated. Thank you :)

It is unclear to me - where are you living now ?

                            - where do you propose to be living as of April 1st ?

I don't mean the geographic location. I mean guest house/hotel/apartment.

In general, you would report the address where you live at the time you file for the the extension - which I would do as far in advance as the office will allow.   After moving, you and/or your landlord would notify the office of your change of address.

It may be a TM-30 form they need - or it could be the extension-desk adding something extra.
