azooba
I am working in Thailand and hold a valid "work permit". I would like to know conditions to buy land (HOUSE) in Thailand. Of course the property will be in my name. Any suggestions will be highly welcome.
Pink Mist
In your next life come back as a Thai, then you can buy and own land
chanchao
Do a search of this site to see what options you have. If you're American then it may be possible under some conditions. Otherwise: forget it.

whattodo
Dont worry you can buy as much land as you want. You will never own it though

dfwbkk
Take Chanchao's advice and search this site, Plenty of threads available covering how to "own" property/land. You can own the house, but only in a few strict cases can you actually own the land it sits on. Various forms of leasing the land and/or controlling a company which owns the land can be used. Consult with Sunbelt or similar group. Either way, the constant nagging factor of being a "distrustful" farang - to cheap to let your (future ex-?) wife write her name on the documents - would drive many men into erratic behaviours such as actually agreeing to just that! Beware. /// DFW
