O visa for dependent child

Does anyone have experience of doing this visa at Savannakhet ?

Is it possible to go across the bridge very early in the morning and still make it to the Consulate in time ?

No financials required ?

wanted to go to Vientiane but they seem to want 100,000 baht in a Thai bank account ????

3 month visa no financials required. 

 

I generally spend the night, but I'm sure you could come in early and head straight to the consulate.

 

Re vientiane, I do not believe financials are required for the 3 month visa, however an appointment to apply is.

No problem to cross the border and make it to the consulate by 11am when they close the gates.

No financial needed there.

Vientiane is asking for financial proof if you have been getting back to back non-o visas based upon being the parent of a Thai there.

Thank you both. I will be driving to Mukdahan very early.

Do you know what the process to get across is ?

Is there safe car parking ? Do I have to park near the bridge  and then go to the Bus station to get a bus in ?

You clear Thai immigration, cross the bridge, apply for a Lao visa on arrival and then enter Laos.

There is covered secure parking on the left just be the entry to bridge.

You will buy a ticket for the bus before immigration and then board the bus after you clear immigration.
