Johnno Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 Married to a thai in Australia - presume that I can get a 12 month multy entry Non O? I am now based in Bangkok. Does anyone know if Laos is OK for issuing Non O visas and, as I am now separated from the girl will a copy of her passport front page suffice? Thanks.
Indo-Siam Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 It has been a while since I obtained a Class O in Vientiane, but when I last did this, they required copy of marriage certificate, and also signed copy of her ID card. I am virtually certain that copy of her passport will not suffice. At best, you can get 90 day, single entry. With wife not supportive, you cannot extend based on supporting wife (although you could use this entry permit as basis for work permit, and then extension based on employment). Good luck! udon Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 Johnno, if you have to go back to Oz to get an "O" from a CONSULATE, pls let us know how you get on. Good luck.
