Popular Post Jonathan Fairfield
Mark Reid is the manager at popular expat bar and restaurant Hemingways in Jomtien. He wanted to help those who had lost their jobs or just were struggling due to the impact of Covid-19 on local business closures. So he set up an appeal This is his update: CORONA APPEAL UPDATE 14 April 2020 You lot are incredible! It’s only been 5 hours since we put out the call and the response has been absolutely tremendous! We have raised 32,500 baht (smashing our original target), so we wasted no time in buying supplies and delivering them to a family who live under a tree in Jomtien. They were so happy to receive the goods, however they asked for mosquito spray which we bought and will buy more on our next visit to Macro. We will be visiting more families like this in the coming days and weeks, if you want to buy food donations to be delivered they can be dropped off at Hemingways, if you would like to make a cash donation please contact us through any of our channels???????? Also if you are aware of anyone who is in need of these basic food supplies please let us know and we will visit. We have reset our target to 50k which really would be amazing! A massive thank you to all who have donated so far ???????? Corona Appeal Update 15 April 2020 With the help and guidance of the Mercy Centre (Len Len, Jules and Nara) today we prepared 38 family packs of food and supplies and delivered them to the slums on Theppasit road. The families were very happy to receive these packs and to see them smile was priceless! We have now received an incredible total of 62,700 baht in donations. We will continue to keep visiting and supporting the people living in these poor areas until the donations stop coming. If you would like to donate please contact us through any of our channels ???????? our new target is now 100,000 baht, which would be truly mind blowing! thaistuff
Just a thought, mosquito spray isn't very effective. Wouldn't a net be better? Great work though, thank you for your efforts
