June 7, 200718 yr Has anyone ever had this problem with UBC/True? My system suddenly doesn't work and it gives me the error message 'E45 Service not allowed'... I called and they said I needed an upgrade to my system version, they would do it from their end and I should try again in an hour. I tried again, still doesn't work. June 7, 200718 yr every now and then one of their "upgrades" will freeze my box e.g. won't turn on or off or change channels or sometimes it will say I can't receive a channel that I know i get. what you do is turn off the box. Not by hitting the power button but by yanking the power cord out of the back of the box or the wall count to 10 then plug it back in and it will reboot it seld and work. this usually happens to me on average about once every 3 months. and this cold shutdown and restart method has always worked for me. good luck
