It looks like you've "saved" the Addressbook as CSV file. Try to import from CSV file back to OE!

yeah agreed. Go to import, than you cshould get an option for what kind of file you wish to import. Voila!

I recently lost Address Book from Outlook Express: I did a search and found all my address are now on an Excel Spread sheet:

Your original OE address book file would have a *.wab file extension. What is the file extension of your address book file now? *.csv? *.wab?

All the emails are now in Word Excel on a spread sheet as CSV, but messages keep telling me to re-install outlook express as not configured properly: If I click on file then Import then Other address book then CSV option it tells me error cannot inport address book

Try this:

  1. Make a backup copy of the CSV file that is your address book.
  2. Rename the copy and change the file extension to *.wab.
  3. Double-click on the newly renamed *.wab file.

Does Outlook Express open it now?

Otherwise, you may want to check out some of the OE recovery tools at Outlook Recovery Toolbox
