CHANOTE.  and could some one explain any other's I may come across when looking to buy a plot of land ...? Many Thank's ...........

Chanote is the best land paper, it comes the closest to freehold, if the land comes with a chanote it can be sold at will. Nor Sor 3 is second best. There are many other types of land deeds, some of which give the holder the right to use the land but he cannot sell it. Sometimes a land deed can be upgraded to another land deed which gives the owner more rights, but I wouldnt count on this procedure being easy no matter what the seller of the land says. I hope somebody else will post who can give more detailed information.
