A fire erupted in the early hours of October 29, at the Japanese Warehouse, a large second-hand Japanese goods store on Bung Si Fai Road, near the Phichit Electricity Authority in Mueang District.

The Phichit Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, alongside other agencies, promptly deployed multiple fire trucks to the scene to contain the blaze, which was first reported at 01.00.

The warehouse, formerly known as Porntip Furniture, housed a significant amount of flammable goods and materials, causing the fire to spread and grow rapidly.

Responders have worked throughout the night to control the flames, but the highly flammable inventory made the firefighting efforts challenging. There were no reports of injuries, but there is damage to neighbouring buildings.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent and total cost of the damage.
