Its like saying, "would you rather be bit by a poisonous spider or snake?". Personally i'd rather be bit by a snake, and shot with a gun, than bit by a spider then knifed. We should do a poll maybe. BTW, if I see someone pushing my sister off of HER motorcycle, you can be sure that I will be over there in an instant to help her. I will not use a knife or a gun (never used one before and hopefully never will have to learn to use one). But you can be sure that I will call for help from people around me and yes give the "drunk, defenseless foreigner" a good smack or two or three. It's just common sense as it ensures MY survivability. After all, you just witness an aggressor and you cannot be sure who you are facing. Think about the reaction from an English lad and his mates at the pub at the sight of that, what do think would happen? Get real mate, you know what would happen, and being glassed or hit over the head with a bottle in UK is not very rare is it, or are you the type of guy that thinks that Brits are honourable and chivalrous in such situations, you think the British guy would go home, get the Boxing Gloves and give him a Damm good British Style thrashing, six of the best, trousers down! I am a Brit (not particularly proud) and never get that drunk to be a <deleted>.. I think the reasoning here is that anyone who gets overly drunk is a pprick and has the potential to be a thug. Stay in pattaya and you will see your fair share of wanky americans, germans, arabs etc all being thugs.. Ok I forgot the French and the Italians.. Thugs come from every where not just england, unfortunately we have more than most, don't just single us out though.. not when a lot of us agree with you. The guy was a moron, what makes him a total prick is that he would hit a woman, anyone who hits a woman, drunk or not deserves what ever they get.
