I am a member of a few other forums and post from time to time.

I was wondering, and not inparticular to this forum, what information can moderators see?

Can they see my ip address? Email address?

Without looking up my IP, which country, province I am in?

What if many computer share a line?

In not to technical terms can someone shed some light on this?

If you click on "Show IP Address" you can see where you are.

In BKK , it even shows the Google map with the exact location, just short of house number.

The mods can see that for all members, I can see only for me.

It has not been abused by this site, I am inviting the admins to guarantee it will continue that way.

They're both east coast, man. Like, same-same, you know? I'll bet when I was in Hua Hin, it came up as Corpus Christi or South Padre Island.

Likewise for me. Hmmm....

Reason for this is some of the routing kit IP's reference the AU backbone, therefore the software which is only ever 90% accurate picks up the master reference {AU} not the allocation reference {TH}. To a large degree the US master and allocations are identical which is why most software doesn't cross check. However a direct IP check will produce both.

Thanks for the info. NOTHING to do with this forum!!

It had nothing to do with this forum. It is related to another forum where a moderator seems to be abusing power supporting a memeber who lies to get customer. Long drawn out boring stroy..

It just always seems like there is another just joined member bumping up post or supporting the charade. They are a mod in 2 forums and I was wondering if she could match the IP addresses from the 2 forums.

How do I see my IP address as it shows in Thai Visa? I dont see an option.

Thought it was beause the user in Hau Hins ISP was registered on APNIC who holds the record for the IP block being used and it is APNIC based in Brisbane not the user nor his ISP - simple lasy lookup - read the rest of the whois entry.
