Dateline: Bangkok

From: Royal Thai Immigration Department

To: Resident and otherwise long-staying foreigners

ATT: The Royal Thai Immigration Department has instigated a program called; "Reach Out To Long-Stay Visitors' wherein Suggestion Boxes will be placed at Immigration Offices - both within and outside Thailand. Anyone is encouraged to write down their concerns/suggestions and place them within the box. Respondents may choose whether to include their name and/or contact information - though all such info will be kept in confidence. Immigration Dept. authorities have come to realize that tourists and long-term foreigners are largely a boon to Thailand and because its decisions often directly affect such foreigners, the Department has opted to adopt and more communicative stance - rather than just issuing directives from the top down. All correspondence will be duely noted and suggestions will be considered for implementation based on merit.

.....ok, it's a jest.
