I got this in an email to the forum, and posts it here. Anyone have knowledge of bringing this type of stuff into Thailand?

-----

I am writing to you about a couple of issues that I need to clarify with my pending trip to Thailand in early July.

Firstly:my son and I will be spending around 12 days in your country.

is it a requirement to have a visa each?

Secondly:I am a Chronic Pain sufferer and need certain medications

I will need to carry two injections of morphine,(for pain)

then a drug called Physeptone in tablet form and I take

18 per day with rescue doses total =240 tablets(for pain)

The other is endep 2 tablets a day =24 in total ( antidepressent)

For my hip and knees I take Vioxx (anti-inflammatory)

I can obtain a letter from my doctor advising of the above.I have a concern that these maybe taken from me once I check thru customs in Thailand let me please assure you that these medications are for my use only, and they also have been Ok'd thru the Pain unit of nepean Hospital.

I am sorry for such short notice but I do fly out on the 3rd July.

Also I thank you in advance for your help. Finally these medications will be kept in the hull of the aircraft and in no way do I need to carry them on my person.
