Pepe'
Just looked up the ingredients on the official Marmite site (marmite.co.uk) and yes! you too can join the fan club!* Yeast Extract * Salt * Vegetable Extract * Niacin * Thiamin * Spice Extracts * Riboflavin * Folic Acid * Celery Extract * Vitamin B12 Sounds like a good clean product. However I've seen several post that rumor it's banned by the FDA in the US because it contains folate? Pepe, did you look up Vegemite (an Oz product), or Marmite (pommy). While you are researching, can you also see if you can find out what is in an Oz meat pie - there are many of us have been trying to find out for years ----------------------------------- Aussiee Meat Pie Recipe Doesn't sound bad except for the meat. I'd have to replace that with tofu... I always but the pies from the deli at the InterContinental Hotel in Ploenchit Rd. Yummy, fresh, cheap (about B65++). But I still have no luck in finding my vegemite though. Oh well, I might just ask family to send it directly from Oz.
MrSquigle
I saw a long time ago 'four N twenty' pies in villa, but not for long time now. I also saw a pie brand from western districts in victoria, but cannot remember name now. Today I saw vegemite in Villa near soi 33, it is bloody expensive at 265b for a 235g bottle, tha is arounf $9 for a small jar, ridiculous, I did not by it as cheaper at soi 71 plus several other itmes I want are there. However, I did notice villa had 'ribena' in today, so bought some, also bloody expensive and the concentrate looks awfully thin to what I remember it back in Oz. At 369b it better be bloody good and go far. Also got 'Coon' cheese and vita wheat biscuits, so my cupboard stocked with favourites for a little while longer.
