Thai driving licence - changing province

Featured Replies

Hi Everybody,

I have moved from Samut Prakan to Bangkok.

I need to RENEW my Driving Licence AND change

my Address on my Licence from one Province to another.

I am told that I will have to get a Letter / Form from

Praknam (Issuing office in Samut Prakan of my present Licence) and take it to Mor Chit.

Can you tell me what documents I will need to take to

each of these places please?

Must I go PERSONALLY?

Thanks

Roger

Another Question:

Do I have to Renew the Licence

before its expiry date?

Or is there a period of grace?

(I would not drive during any grace period)

Hi Everybody

I have now been told that the

Samut Prakan Provincial Transport

Office in Paknam that Issued (and

last year renewed ) my Driving Licence,

Can now renew it again this year

showing my New Address in Bangkok.

That is - that I no longer need to "Transfer"

my Driving Licence to Mor Chit.

Does anybody know the Ins & Outs of this topic please?

Grateful for any help / advice.

Thanks

Roger
