Is there a train from Lao to Chang Mai? or bus? or is it closer through Cambodia? Reply, please include details like how many hours by train or bus? Is there a domestic flight from Chang Mai to HyaYin? Depends where you are travelling from. Best to find a connecting flight to Chaing Mai or Samui, both international airports that are open. Cambodia to Thailand about 5 hours by road from Siem Rep. Vientenne, Lao - Better to cross into Thailand via Ubon, Isaan. Not sure either these have international connections. Depends where you are travelling from. from Canada Best to find a connecting flight to Chaing Mai or Samui, both international airports that are open. ahh didn't know they were international airports! they must be busy now? now I have to Google what SIN KUL HKT CNX USM SZB means Cambodia to Thailand about 5 hours by road from Siem Rep. WinnieTheKhwai Posted November 27, 2008 Share Posted November 27, 2008 I'd pick a place to connect through where you have a plan B : CURRENTLY Phuket, Had Yai and Chiang Mai airports are open, but who can guarantee it will stay that way, AND that airlines will keep flying there. So, I would choose KL. KL has plenty flights to those airport if they're open, but if not then KL is still close enough to Thailand to get there overland.
