TheJoker12
They have been spending the last year and a half playing video games and eating junk food all day, the US government paid them about 40,000 baht a month to do so as part of their unemployment benefits (Isaanites eat your heart out) and now they are looking to come to Thailand. He has a degree in Chemistry and she has a degree in philosophy but neither have any teaching experience. What will they need to do to be able to get one of the higher paying (degree) teaching jobs in Thailand? thanks btw, its sort of funny to think about how the differences between thailand and usa. in usa, you can get paid 20k baht a month for not having a job. that is more than the average thai even makes. a2396
"They" includes how many people? I don't know of any unemployment benefits that would last 1.5 years, unless there was some gap in their status in which they worked for awhile & went back to collecting later. Certainly, not 40,000 bht for one person per month.
Ijustwannateach
I think they should stay home; if they want to discuss US unemployment practices they should do so on another forum; and if they want to know about teaching work they should ask about it in the teaching subforum.
