keestha
A friend of mine recently bought an old fashioned push lawn mower at Homepro, in the same building as Tesco Lotus. You need quite a bit of physical strength to operate the thing though.
petercallen
Ava liable at homepro Chalong. Hand push reel mower 3990 baht, have fun pushing it through wet grass. Electric rotary mower starting at 4300 baht, they are a bit of a hassle dragging cord behind you and being careful not to run over it. Petrol rotary mowers starting at 7990 baht good for a large area. Brush cutters starting at 4500 baht, the cheapest one looks the same as the one i see Thai people using and seems quite well made, it comes with a cutting blade which is great for meter high grass but not good cutting lawn, you will need to purchase a line feed cutting head which may be an accessory and cost extra, this would be the best option with the small size of the blocks of land here. sarahsbloke
A 35cc 2-stroke brush cutter with harness should cost about 2500bht with blade, add another 200bht for a whipper there are cheaper ones for under 2000bht but I think the engines are too small. These are available from many Thai tool shops, usually seen hanging outside. The big Thai style lawnmowers cost 5000-6000bht Homepro and supermarkets are very expensive for their products, the electric ones are fairly useless and tend to burn out.
