Koh Kaw Khao, just off Ban Nam Khem 20 KM north of Khao Lak. Endless deserted beaches, and quite a few hotels mostly concentrated at the southern tip. No low budget accomodation though. Koh Phra Thong, to be reached from Kuraburi pier, 70 KM north of Khao Lak. There are I believe two resorts, one of them is simple and cheap. Koh Ra, to be reached from the same pier, also has accomodation possibilities. Discover Phangnga province!

Some of the top beaches in Thailand are listed below:-

1) Patong Beach, Phuket

2) Railey Beach, Krabi

3) Maya Bay, Koh Phi Phi Ley

4) Hua Hin Beach, Hua Hin

  1. Kata Beach, Phuket

I would laugh but for some of them just a few years ago this would be true. :(

Thats a loaded question;

I live and love Phuket but for various reasons.

It has good international schools, shopping, airport and i can buy fresh milk, Great beaches where u can still get away even in the high season ( Nai Yung out by the airport) and plenty of places to sample fine dining

If ur looking to be alone and get away head south and visit the islands off of Trang/Satun like Ko Muk, Hat Yao, Ko Bulon Leh.

Ko Lanta IS nice in the low season by overrun by Sweds in the high season and prices have gone up.
