ballbreaker Posted August 25, 2010 Share Posted August 25, 2010 (edited) Just need to sign seller section of Vehicle Certificate of Title including odometer section and its done. No need to be present. Make sure you send in notification to DMV that you have sold car in case buyer does not register in his name. This will relieve you of any future liability and I think can be done online now. Google California DMV and check site because they will have all the details. Get the Title shipped out, sign it, send it back and voila, one week later it's done, if you can trust the buyer.
