ChAoS87
How do we express the word 'flexible' in thai, may i know? As in, 1)we should be flexible in dealing with dealing with problems. 2)I have a very flexible job, I do not have a fixed work schedule, not your typical 8am-5pm job. tgeezer
As a description the figurative use of flexible adj. is; แก้ไขเปลียนแปลงได้ verb, we can change the way we do things. ปรับตัวตามสถานการณ์ได้ verb; we can adapt to the situation. ผมแก่ไขเปลียนแปลงได้ I can be flexible. The good thing is that you just need อย่าง in front of both to make an adverb. เราทำงานอย่างปรับตัวตามสถานการณ์ได้ We can be flexible by adapting to situations, work flexibly. สมารถดัดแปลงได้ adaptable. ปรับตัว adj adaptable(of a person) There is also a one word answer ผมเป็นคนยืดหยุ่น which might get a laugh because it also means flexible like the rubber man. Another ประนีประนอม which is a verb 'to meet people half way' ; compromising type of person. This is all book learning though not from experience, it is the vocabulary needed to find the right word so may not work for you. I don't normally post these musings but will since noone has answered you.
