Connecting Macs To Windows Network And Ad

My regular IT guy is rock solid but no Mac experience. We're going to end up with 8 Macs of 20 computers on our network and we need help getting them configured so they can access the file shares, printers and other network resources. Running Windows Server 2008 with Active Directory.

Anyone know of anyone who is experienced getting mixed PC & Mac networks setup and working?

Thanks for the info, I'll see if this helps him. He doesn't speak/read English but still some of this is clear looking at the instructions.
