Given how good 9.3 was I can imagine 10.0 will be a spectacular desktop replacement option. Curious too if anyone in BKK already has this release. Why not Mandrake, will Mandrake is now Mandriva (which is less French then you hope), also Suse has one of the biggest software companies supporting it. Technical is Suse better for now-a-days hardware. Official release of Mandriva 2005 uses Kernel 2.6.11, Gnome 2.8.1 or KDE 3.3.2 and has no support for Thai language. Suse 10.0 uses Kernel 2.6.13, Gnome 2.12 or KDE 3.4.2 and has out of the box Adobe Acrobat, Macromedia Flash player, Video and Audio playback, BitTorrent Client and OpenOffice 2.0 (which can really compete with MS Office 2003)……still I forget probably 1000 things more which Suse has out of the box which Mandriva doesn’t have. But I belief that Mandriva is a pretty good distribution, only a bit slow in development…..Out off the box you hardly can install it on any newer hardware…. Membership cost start from 66 US$ (60 Euro) for standard one year member up to US$ 1320 (1200 Euro) for Platinum Member per year.
