dutch
I am planning a short visit to Europe ( 23 -30 december),however my visa expires on 29 december. Anybody knows how many weeks before expiring date I can make my request for extension? (I tried all search methods, but could not find.) Thanks. lopburi3
Should not be any problem - just go a few days before you depart and remember to get a re entry permit after you get the extension (be it a month or full year).
dutch
Thanks, But I don't want togo a few days before .I want to go as long time as possible before.I need security because I will book flight with No change of date possibility. If something not OK,I have time to correct. I am not the last minute type. Any specific term, like max 3 or 4 weeks b4 expiring. There must be a rule somewhere

He may be able to help you on the date he stamps for your next visit to get the extension. Or advise when the extension will be available. I have found them to be most helpful in these matters. The Re-entry permit is most important.

AsiaWolfie
I wonder if this is a VISA EXTENSION really, isnt it rather just another 1-year-multiple-entry-B or -O VISA stamped in your passport after they old one expired....
lopburi3
No. OP said "extension" and that is what you get from immigration. They do not issue multi entry B or O visas.
