Old Man River
Chalermprakiat 28 near the Rama IX park is still dry, but some soi's on Chalermprakiat (Udomsook)nearer the motorway are well under water. Interestingly, we noticed late this afternoon that water on Chalermprakiat 28 had come up the drains. It was drying when we got home, so clearly they are making adjustments. In two days, the water in the main khlong near us has risen from 17 cm to 88 cm. It doesn't normally travel this fast. South of us is Samut Prakan and it seems they are trying to drive water as quickly as possible through Prawet (via khlongs and drains) to Samut Prakan and then to the ocean or rivers while we are still in low tide. GM Link Probably ... Close enough, but move a bit towards the khlong right by the wongwian. So far a few sois behind us have dropped 1cm again indicating the BMA is closely monitoring this to do their best in driving water out of Bangkok while causing a minimum of flooding to one of the districts that has always been included in "inner Bangkok". Chalermprakiat 28 remains dry and they continue to work on the khlong (one of Prawet's biggest north south khlongs) where it goes underneath Chalermprakiat 28. Someone on twitter wrote two weeks ago that everybody thinks they live in inner Bangkok until they are flooded and the media are still saying that inner Bangkok is dry. Hence, Prawet has probably moved from inner Bangkok to outer Bangkok and inner Bangkok continues to get smaller.
erobando
According to an employee, there are low levels (maybe 5 cm) of water spilling onto Rama 2 Road, primarily around the Big C - Central Plaza section.

carlgavin
Well I have finally made it home! Drove this morning up the 7 from Paats then onto Kanchanapisek, obviously no water up there but when I came off at Sukhapiban 5 it was a bit of a mess, there are cars, people and water all over the place. Inside Laddarom has obviously been wet but has now been pumped out. I videoed the last bit, please ignore the inane chatter, I was nervous! Still wouldn't want to try in a small car! Just to inform, we drove up Rama II from Samut Sakhon to the Kanchanapisek. Rama II itself is dry, but the water is right up to the edge. Side sois right before turning onto Kanchanapisek flooded. They have taken away the barrier across the Kanchanapisek at the Ram Inthra exit. Nawamin from Ram Inthra KM.8 south wards still very flooded. Ram Inthra soi 69: Water has gone down another 5cm or so since last Sunday. Our yeak is now completely dry. We are going to check out the Khu Bon area later. We drove around parts of Khu Bon and Kanna Yao yesterday, parts of the area are still badly flooded near the Kanchanpisek Road frontage and Panya Indra junction with Phraya Suren especially bad (easily 500 mm). Be really careful if you are driving a small car, I saw one taxi that was brave/stupid actually make it all the way down Ram' 109 - but only just. Also, the area around Suan Siam was really bad but the place was still open. Edited November 17, 2011 by trompelemonde

Just slap on the knee length boots and take the songtheaw or Army truck.
