Phuket1
Anyone can recommend me a roofing specialist. I'm living in Phuket Golden Ville 3 and have leaks from the roof since I moved in. Looks like all the previous guys just did a temporary job. Thanks in advance.
Paangjang
Im also interested in this. Maybe im not looking for a roofing "specialist" but im looking for someone who knows how to roof with palm fronds. Not trying to hack this post, just dont want to waste peoples time, making my own post in the same heading.

The palm frond type roof, believe it, or not, is illegal because it's a fire hazaerd, but, like most laws, it isn't enforced. These fronds are bought already pre-fabricated on bamboo (I think). Each piece is approximately two metres in length. Pretty much any builder will know how to install them. No specialized skill needed.

stevehaigh
OP i doubt you will find a 'specialist' but any half decent builder/handyman should be able to fix it if its cpac roof tile. do you know exactly where its leaking? take a hose up there and try identify the exact point. then you can identify the problem properly and more chance of a proper fix. petercallen
Ask your local Thai People i had the same problem when i lived at golden villa 1 was quoted all sorts of prices to fix It turned out to be the ridge cap tiles were not sealed properly You purchase rolls of putty type stuff lay it under the ridge tiles I paid a local Thai 500 baht to do the job and took him to the big hardware store on the bypass road to purchase the material used which cost about 1000baht from memory
golfbum
Have a look at Spray Foam Thailand. I had my roof treated a couple of years ago and it fixed all my leaks. I notice it has has been taken over by new owners recently, so I am not sure if that has changed anything, but it used to come with a 10 year guarantee.
