My gf Parents run a Fish Farm, but it's been in production since Adam was in short pants. From what I have read elsewhere, most people in your situation poison the pond. If no-one replies you here in the next few days, maybe PM to ozzydom. ozzy started his Farm when Adam was in long pants and if he hasn't done it ... he will know a man (or woman) who has. It is a mix of a resort with restaurant, +++, fruit farm, with tamarind, rambutan, lamyai, cashew nuts, mangosteen, bananas, coco nuts, jack fruit, durian, ++, and we have rubber, cassava, rice, plus various chilies, green pepper and other herbs. I am not a farmer myself, but may somtimes do some light gardening if the temp is not too hot..... Was trying to upload some more pics, but failed. Will try later! Popular Post Monkeypants Posted July 25, 2012 Popular Post Share Posted July 25, 2012 (edited) Ist Pic is the front of the farm 2/ is chicken shit being loaded, all sold. 3/ is my farm house, or part of it anyway. 4/ my pond where I do all my fishing 5/ back of the farm with the extractor fans We have just got rid of 18,000 chickens at 2 kilo per bird .we are currently on clean up, hence the untidiness, but when you have something like 35 tonnes of birds leaving the farm it makes a lot of mess, not the best time to post pics of the farm, but still. Good, good ... 10% net return per cycle (approx) and that works out to be a 100% net profit per year. That wouldn't take into account the capital cost to set up ... but impressive figures in any case. Definitely a case for a separate thread ! Just saying like ... . Jim Sadly not,I am very jealous of some of the fantastic pictures and stories this particular thread has provided over time,one day I may be in a position to undertake such a task as some of you have of buying some land and giving it go,a great thread and some great success stories,good luck to all of you in your farming quests here in Thailand. He has a lot of stuff going on, its very diversified, and looks great, plenty of land, no neighbours, an absolute dream.
