LONDON, ENGLAND (BNO NEWS) -- Five elderly church singers were injured when a machete-wielding man launched an attack on a church in London on Tuesday night, local media reported on Wednesday. None of them were seriously injured.

A 56-year-old man with a Mohican haircut was arrested Tuesday night after he broke into St. Paul's Cray hall in southeast London wearing a wig and armed with a machete. He allegedly attacked a group of elderly church singers, injuring five people, the BBC reported.

The victims, two women and three men, all at least 60 years old, were all being treated for what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries. The suspect, who was arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage, suffered a hand injuring during the attack and was treated at a hospital Wednesday morning.
