Cheaper Visa's?

Took a guy on a visa run to Chong Chom this morning, and all he was charged was 800 for the visa, plus the 300 to leave same day. Has someone finally seen the light? Or is it a new officer made a mistake?

The "exit fee" is 100 baht, not 300. So he anyway ended up paying the same price (800 + 300) for visa and exit fee as I do (1000 + 100). And yes, it is possible they made a mistake, but as I said, the amount was still the same.

Place a 100 baht note in the passport before the immigration officials will have a chance to ask you for money. It means you know how things work, and they won't ask you for any more money than this.
