el jefe
I'm a US citizen, over 50 years old. I've been coming to Thailand for 8 years and have had 5 Non-Imm O multiple-entry visas in that time, 4 of them in my current passport. This time all I really need is a triple entry tourist visa. My itinerary has me entering Thailand 3 times for 40-50 days each time, separated by two short trips out of the country. After that I'll probably be out of Thailand for 7 months. So, I'm not trying to stretch my visa for 270 days. I think I meet the requirements perfectly, though I don't yet have tickets for the 2 short trips after I arrive in Thailand. Based on my research here, The Honorary Consulate in Portland appears to be my best option. My question -- Is there any chance that Portland will deny my triple entry visa request based on either of these factors: 1. the 4 Non-Imm O visas in my passport 2. My "home" address in the US is in NY. Is there any chance they will deny my request and tell my to apply in NY, where all my other visas were issued? NY absolutely does not issue triple entry visas. Thanks.
wayned
Portland has been friendly in the past. The 4 Non-O's in your passport should not be a problem. Here's info on Portland, email Mary and ask her:Visa application porcedures, Portland Oregon.doc
koolbreez
Past visas have no influence. You might also consider the Los Angeles consulate, as they also will issue 3. All my West coast clients use the LA consulate.
