Rimmer
Police “driver” caught with unregistered firearm in South Pattaya PATTAYA:--A man who claimed he is a driver for the wife of a senior Police Office in Supanburi Province was arrested by Region 2 Police in South Pattaya late on Tuesday Night. Police were made aware of a White Mitsubishi Pajero which featured the logo of the Royal Thai Police on the driver and passenger door. There was no license plate on the rear of the vehicle and a red plate on the front. The vehicle was parked outside of a Gentleman’s Club on the Pratamnuk Hill. Officers waited for the driver to emerge from the club at which point he was approached by officers who wanted to conduct a search of the vehicle. The driver and registered owner of the vehicle, Khun Mai aged 42, claimed he worked as a driver for the wife of a Police Lieutenant Colonel who works for Police in Supanburi Province, located 100kms North-West of Bangkok and was in Pattaya on holiday. A 38 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver and 11 bullets were found in the glove compartment which Khun Mai claimed belonged to the Police Officers wife. Rimmer
Loaded Handgun discovered in parked car Pattaya; Diligent Police arrest man for firearms possession outside nightclub When Local officers noticed an odd looking vehicle in Pratumnak Hill, outside a gentlemen’s club, they waited for the driver to return. The vehicle showed signs of a break in and a rear window had been taped up, indicating that it might have been stolen. One of the number plates was missing and, despite its age, the vehicle had a red, temporary, plate on the rear. When the man returned to his vehicle, Police interviewed him and were unimpressed by his claim to be the driver for a high ranking Police officer in another province, so they asked him to open up the vehicle and let them check inside. Finding a handgun, complete with ammunition, the officers arrested the man and took him to the station for further questioning. None of his story seemed to make any sense and the carrying of a weapon, for which he had no permit, is illegal. Briggsy
He raised the stakes somewhat with the flagrant use of large police logos. Looks like a hitman.
