Any news on the you know who Jimmy?

On the 14th of this month,the wife got someone in to spray the weeds in between the bananas and he decided to do the same around the Cha-om plants.He was using a fogger type sprayer rather than the backpack hand job type.What was a very healthy green is now what you see here.It will come back in time but I would rather it didn't happen

Does the oil eat away the skin on the fingers of the cashew nut collectors or does the oil eat away the skin on the cashew nut ?

I am not familiar with cashew nut production , I do however remember that a guided tour in Phuket years ago included a view and rundown of the cashew nut process , but I was otherwise amiss in avoiding the ^ Klingon ^ that accompanied me on that reconnaissance !

From what I was told, when I suggested roasting the nuts in my oven, (to save them being burned to death ) "The oil eats skin on fingers" .... I am really not sure.... but there must be thousands of people doing it, for the packaging of good cashew nuts, you see in the stores....

I remember some one who visited Thailand years ago, and was taken to a nut house .....that the ladies were doing by hand and it was not a pretty sight~!

Shaggy, I went down to the duck farm with Jim(Thanks) to take a look myself. Here's one of the girls, sitting on the ducks in question... I was amazed.

I took this shot standing under a tree and three of these came up and sniffed me in the process touching me with their noses then just walking on.No fear of me whatsoever and vice versa.The only one that was a worry was the minder jabbering away about farangs.I couldn't understand him but it didn't sound complimentry.

^ Ron, hand job sprayer....yes~ I assume she used round up when fogging the weeds Could be a few more days before the extent on spray really shows up... I hope the Cha-om leaves are not being served in your dinner.... horrible stuff anyway .... me thinks!

Nice photo DAL,I am pretty amazed myself,looks like the poor old girl has got her wings full there trying to keep all those eggs warm.

I must admit it is the first time I have ever seen eggs poking out the front of a hen.....how many eggs is she sitting on?

Am sure the young lad already knows Jim that Campbell duck eggs take 28 days to hatch,Muscovy 35 and chickens only 21.

The chances are that the hen will leave the nest once all the chicken eggs are hatched and will not wait the extra week or two for the duck eggs.

Maybe need to think of another option for the remaining 7 or 14 days,maybe under another broody hen?

Keeping with the theme of the past few posts........Cows,chickens and maybe a game of farm Hoopla with an old bike tyre.

Here is a local eucalyptus plantation which I have previously posted images of their different stages of growth and cutting down for sale.

Now the regrowth is being thinned out to the 3-5 strongest suckers per stump.

Sometimes this is all you get !

the pigoen saying come any closer and ill bite,,

docky my dog in his bath, used to be my little fish pond

one for ron as i know he likes the bannana pics,

One more

Two ladies form Pitsunalok run this machine all over Thailand and were up in Mae Taeng the past few days. Made short work out of 10 rai of rice with not a grain to be found in the chaff.

Good Morning Shaggy , yes the pipes are used for the inflow- outflow for the fish pond ( dam ) mate

We are just trying to alleviate soil erosion

This photo shows the intake pipe , entry water from a natural low spot in the fall of the land about 20 or so metres from the dam bund wall as to reduce erosion , or at least minimise impact .

I visited the Twin Towers just a few months before the terrorist attacks. I've searched high and low for the pictures I took and have no idea where they have gone. Even though the pictures were taken using a pre-digital camera. I now make sure I back up everything twice, in the cloud and on an external hard drive. Some pictures are just priceless.
