steelepulse
For those that use AIS, what frequency are you getting for your 3G here?
Jimi007
I found this article about it, but I peronally don't have a 3G phone: http://www.thephuketnews.com/genuine-3g-service-arrives-in-phuket-39223.php It says you have to sign up for the 2.1 GHz service rather than the 900 MHz with AIS. Guest
I don't understand why there should be a need SIM card. It should just depend which frequencies the mobile device is using.. and possibly some configuration on the mobile operator subscription database. ozymandious
Currently using the 3G on the AIS 900 band I have a Galaxy Nexus which supports: Compatible networks GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900HSPA 850/900/1700/1900/2100 so what's the point of swapping to the 2100 band? Less people on it and less congestion? or does higher frequency = better speed (I doubt it)

While in Germany I also had to get a new SIM card (same number) I did not sign up for 3G AIS. It just works.
