OzMick
Hard to decide if the Nation or the commentors are trying to mobilise the coups masters. Is this a poorly translated version of a thai original or was the article poorly written? "has dumped 600 billion into a policy to buy every single grain......." "the actual potential losses........" "this old wine from a new bottle...." Who writes this hyperchloristic crap, and do they seriously think they can start another Military Coups with it? hyperchloristic???? <deleted>? Nickymaster
Come guys be fair. Blame THIS mess on THIS government, not the Nation. This government is really not performing. Can't you see that? The PM doesn't even qualify to be a proper FM.
Nickymaster
Of course Democrats welcome this stuff it is they they draft it yet do not have the ability to understand most of what they write. The fact is the present government is 'moving and shaking' with action (I know you dems like metaphors and similies ). Eventually you will get hard facts on the relevent issues and outcomes. Who knows you might even win the next general election and be able to put Thailand back the way it was before democracy arrived in the land of smiles. So you honestly believe that this country is in good hands now? Now we have REAL democracy right? More PR shows means Takki Shinegra isn't coming back anytime soon. rubl
"put Thailand back the way it was before democracy arrived in the land of smiles."Have to start reading again and I don't mean the Mongolia speech of our dear PM. Democracy started when political parties were made legal and started to have influence. To go back before would be like suicide for a political party. Certainly the Democratic party is not like that, but the Pheu Thai Shinawatra party is a different kettle of fish all together.Anyway the topic seems to be the urgent need felt by the government to explain the population what they are doing and why that is good for some. A tour around the country, starting with gatherings NorthEast of course. After the talks on the way out please take your complimentary sack of 2005/2006/2007/2008/2009 rice. Thank you. FarangTalk
Who knows you might even win the next general election and be able to put Thailand back the way it was before democracy arrived in the land of smiles. I think the Dems already tried that; by exiling a popular PM (Pridi Banamyong) by claiming he was part of an anti-Royalist movement. Look how history repeats itself. It worked then (and covered up one of the biggest lies in Thai history leading to the deaths of several innocent people), doesn't look like it will work now though with modern social media. This time it is Abhisit and his cronies, and then it was Seni Pamoj and his. Edited June 10, 2013 by FarangTalk
rametindallas
The tent is collapsing all around the circus clowns and still no sign of the ringmaster. The tent is collapsing all around the circus clowns and still no sign of the ringmaster. Or to put it another way, the Thaitanic is getting ever closer to the riceberg and the captain is drunk.. I'm not a Democrat Party or any other Thai political party supporter; I'm just against Thaksin becoming the 'Hun Sen' of Thailand.

iancnx
I have been wondering if the minimum wage has been as big a flop, Taking into account the cost of living rise unemployed people who were already getting 300+ baht a day losing benefits and many just not getting it. I suspect this will be the subject of more opinion in the Nation quite soon.

It is bad enough seeing the how often lose is spelt l-o-o-s-e, and now people will spell loose; l-o-s-e. . BTW indyuk is becming one of my favourite posters, he is a hyperchloristic hoot.

"Hyperchloristic" sounds rather dangerous, caustic at least, but then some of your comments are. Anyway Indy I have a word for you. I think it fits you well. "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" And here's the loose definition. It is from the film "Mary Poppins and is defined as ""something to say when you have nothing to say". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
