Lite Beer
Water project bids transparent: GovtThe Nation on Sunday BANGKOK: -- The bidding for water mega-projects - prices for whose are currently being negotiated - has been carried out in a transparent manner, PM's Office Minister Niwatthamrong Boonsongpaisan and office permanent secretary Tongthong Chandransu said on the "PM Yingluck Shinawatra's Government Meets the People" TV show yesterday. Cabinet approval would be sought for the bid winners of nine modules on Tuesday, after which all related figures would be made public, Thongthong said. He added that contracts would be signed by late October or early November. He said the speedy bidding procedure for the mega-projects was because no one could predict the flood situation, hence it would be better to undertake prompt preventive measures.Niwatthamrong said Yingluck had instructed that all steps in implementation of the mega-projects must be transparent and there must be public participation. He said that was the reason why the government had undertaken a public relations exercise about the projects periodically. The live broadcast of the bidding was the first of its kind in the country. In regard to concerns about huge loans for mega-projects, he affirmed 30 state agencies had jointly considered and formulated clear details on budget spending. The bidders had to explain the details of outlays when presenting their bids. -- The Nation 2013-06-

Halion
Just so much bullshit from a bunch of greedy pathetic under achievers whoes sole gain is to line their own pockets." We need to rush in order to get the foundations prepared ahead of the rainy season" We are already in the rainy season !!. They think that they are smarter than the Thai public, however, they are not, the problem seems to be that the public have long given up on Thai Government. A bad case of the Mai Pen Rai's
Thait Spot
These projects, like the rice scam, are so far from being transparent that they are government secrets. The information should be 100% visible to the Thai public
