CABINET RESHUFFLE
PM stays mum on possible new Cabinet members

The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Wednesday declined to confirm or deny reports that she would submit a list of new Cabinet members for royal command on Friday.

When asked to comment this morning at Government House on the reports, she smiled at reporters and said. "May I only smile for today. Please have mercy on me. I would like to walk only".

Later, as she emerged from a ceremony, reporters approached her again, trying to have her talk about the upcoming reshuffle but she walked away smiling.

"Please excuse me today. I won't say anything."

It was reported that Yingluck summoned three individuals likely to be appointed to the Yingluck V Cabinet to a meeting at the SC Park Hotel on Tuesday evening.

They were asked to submit their curriculum vitae for checking.

The three were Chaturon Chaisaeng, former acting Thai Rak Thai leader, Wisarn Techathirawat, former executive of the Thai Rak Thai, and Sorawong Thienthong, a Pheu Thai MP from Sa Kaew.

It was reported that Yingluck would submit the list of Cabinet reshuffle to His Majesty the King to sign Friday.

It is expected that Chaturon would become the interior minister and Wisarn would become the natural resources and environment minister. Sorawong is expected to replace Thanis Thienthong as the deputy industry minister.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Surapong Towichukchaikul said he had not met Yingluck personally although he attended the weekly Cabinet meeting on Tuesday so he knew nothing about the upcoming Cabinet reshuffle.

He said it would be up to the prime minister to remove Cabinet members who have not worked with full efficiency so that the performance of the Cabinet could be improved.

"she smiled at reporters and said. "May I only smile for today. Please have mercy on me. I would like to walk only"."

Must be a bit of a strain on her, walking and smiling at the same time that is. BTW "only smile today"? What about other days she didn't want to answer questions, did she not smile when turning and walking away?

Among them are Sorawong Thienthong, who is an MP for Sa Kaeoand Surachat Thienthong, who is an MP for Bangkok, after having been product manager for Thai Beverage, the producer of Beer Chang. Sanoh's nephew and niece, Thanit and Trinuch Thienthong, are both MPs for Sa Kaeo. Moreover, Thanit serves as a Deputy Interior Minister in Yingluck Shinawatra's cabinet.

She promptly put a piece of chewing gum in her mouth and got a headache?

I expect "President Thaksin" has ordered it.

Whatever did happen to 'Thaksin One'?

They have to submit a CV?

Oh my god, are all the cabinet members CV's part of the public record. Please someone dig those up.

Dunno, they may have picked up a doctorate or two after the last update. bah.gif

Might be a good idea to keep the engines running in case she has to make a quick getaway.

I might be hesitant in joining a cabinet that has a distinct possibility of being put up against a wall and shot.

If Yingluck remotes Cabinet members who have not worked with full efficiency she will have to replace all but the Education minister. He has enough on the ball to realize what they are doing is wrong. He even suggested teaching Teachers how to think and reason things out.

He obviously is head and shoulders above the rest of the baboons.

Speaking of baboons buffoons I didn't see Jatuporn's name mentioned.

Must just be me, but on on reading I though it said ""PM says mum is on possible new cabinet". Sadly I only thought no surprise there........

If they thought they could reserct her and put her in the cabinet they would. I wonder what seat big sister will get.

I am really getting tired of this woman. This is the best we can get from day to day? Always some nonsense.

Next they will be reporting on what color her underwear is from day to day. That would be more interesting.

She could sell her used knickers on-line..sure she would get plenty of offers from the red faithful, but then again I am sure her brothers used Y fronts would go for more amongst hardliners..w00t.gif

She is right! The waiting-line for inaptocrates is empty!

Don't forget Jatuporn is still waiting for the call.

And hay undisclosed VIP would fit the lady well,

Or should that be undiscloseing?

RT@veen_NT: It seems Nuttawut is out of the cabinet in the imminent reshuffle. Jatuporn will most likely miss out again.

To be perfectly frank, as prime minister in Thailand, I would ALWAYS want to go on commercial aircraft.

The armed forces might have an issue with blowing up Thai airways. But blowing up a few of their own, not for one second.
