Ratchaburi: -- A giant rock fell from a rock quarry and rolled onto a temple at the mountain foot but no one was injured.

Monks of the Yodthong Cave Temple said they heard an explosion at noon and then heard thundering sound and saw the rock rolling down to their temple.

The rock destroyed trees on a ground inside the temple and stopped at a pile of rocks, which had fallen earlier.

Earlier, the Ratchaburi governor had ordered the rock quarry to stop blasting off rocks until it came up with measures to provide security for monks at the temple at the mountain footh.

Monks there have been wearing helmets rock had fallen on some of them, causing head injuries.
