What common interest's and hobbies do you share with your Thai other half.

 

 It might be cooking, travelling, cycling, antique collecting etc

 

It will be interesting to see what hobbies cross the cultural divide.

We talk a lot about philosophy and have an extensive library on the subject. We also play chess every evening.

ok mate, ill be seriouse,

well we both dont drink so going to pubs and that dont interest us,

our daughter is our main interest,

we also love to keep our garden nice, its getting there, a lot of work to do for me when i get back , as only finnished the house this year the garden is work in progress, but its starting to look nice,

then we have our animals, no pigs at the moment, ill get some more when i get back, but mac collects her eggs every morning from the ducks and chickens,

shes planted over 100 bannana trees while ive been away,

we love to be working on our small farm,

but also we love to go for days at the beach, i go fishing in the sea and mac and our daughter play and eat,,lol,

might sound boring to some, but we love it, its all building for our future when i decide to give in work all together, at the moment i do half a year,

Indeed, board games are good draughts, monopoly and suchlike. My missus would not play chess because she does not like to be beaten.

My wife is the same mate! I swear if she plants a stick in the ground it will grow. She could be a horticulturist the variety and quantity of veggies etc growing in our garden. She can also grow Orchids which is difficult in the U.K..

Tolerance.

Patience, one of us is good at it, the other is really trying.

I didn't think I'd be cut out for all this marriage lark, but I've surprised myself.

Age has helped as well as personalities.

We reset every day and get on with it. Don't ever sleep on an argument I was once told. Good advice.

my wife mac sent me these the other day for the farm pics thread that is running in the farming section,,but i thought ide share with you,

there is some weeds inbetween the trees but ill plough that when i get home with my little hobby plough, mac calls it my toy,,lol,

the trees are over 100 bannana and 60 odd lambutine, the red spiky fruit

and mac my wife has planted the lot, bless her

and couldnt post a pic of house without my budgie aviery

Its all about the baby these days, and busy practicing for the next before she closes the baby factory:D I work all week and she works p/t which includes the weekend so sadly doesn't leave much free time these days, but all the usual stuff couples do together. Luckily she hates spending money, so as the baby starts to get a bit bigger, more travel will start again.

My wife and I are waking up at 6am every day. We have an early chat for an hour, give alms to the monks if I am not to lazy.

My in-laws will take care in the early hours for our son Nicky, so my wife and I have some time for us. At 8am we take our baby back from our in-laws who luckily live next door and my wife is busy with our son. I start work at around 8.30am and stop at lunch time. Wife prepares food and we have in general lunch together. Our baby boy is just 8 months but he loves playing already with my iMac, so wife often visits me in my office room so he can play on the keyboard or with the mouse.

After lunch I work again and stop around 5pm. We play with our baby until he gets tired and falls asleep. Dinner time with a glass of beer and I play a round of chess online and wife plays some kind of game with building a farm or communicates with her Facebook friends. I prefer LinkedIn.

At 9pm we are tired and sleep until the next morning 6am.

Weekends we travel often to other provinces, mainly Mukdahan, Nakon Phanom, Nong Khai, Udon, Loei or Ubon or within Sakon Nakhon.

All in all we have a simple life and we both like it.

We both like diving, snorkeling when we are in the south of Thailand. We like to travel (good as she is a tour-guide). I like to do some training and sometimes she even joins me to keep herself in a bit of shape. Other then that, just going to eat somewhere together watching a movie.

Secret in our relation is also giving each-other a lot of freedom and having our own friends and not doing everything together.

At night she likes to yell at me for what a slob I am while I try to tell her how illogical she is. Later when we get tired I log onto TV while she researches online how to get me to lose weight. we go to bed and she slaps my hand and says "not tonight." the next day she asks if we are ever going to have kids, i explain the logic and she starts yelling........................
